A woman is fighting for life with a gunshot wound to the centre of her back sustained in an apparent attack on the Gold Coast.
The 33-year-old woman was found injured at a home on Trees Rd in Tallebudgera when police responded to reports of gunshots being fired about 12pm on Wednesday.
Paramedics treated the woman for a life-threatening gunshot wound in the centre of her back.
She was rushed to Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition.

Police are investigating the incident as an unlawful shooting and appealed for any witnesses to come forward.
“Anyone with information that could assist investigations, including any dashcam vision in the area at the time, is urged to contact police,” they said.
