Wimbledon 2025 LIVE RESULTS: Norrie WINS epic fifth-setter, Alcaraz on NOW, Kartal crashes OUT, Fritz through – updates

Jarry 3-6 6-7 7-6 7-6 3-5 Norrie*

Good hitting from Norrie gets him back from 30-0 to 30-30.

Two points away…

Ace. His 45th of the match.

Ace. His 46th of the match.

Over to Cam to serve it out…

Alcaraz* 6-7 (5-7) Rublev

The tiebreak goes with serve for the first seven points, with Rublev shaking off a nasty slip during the third.

Alcaraz produces some of his trademark magic leading 4-3, grabbing the first mini-break with some sensational defence to offence tennis.

Rublev shakes off the disappointment with a big serve to get back to a 5-4 deficit.

And the Russian gets the mini-break back to level at 5-5 in the breaker with a pair of brilliant forehands, letting out a roar while smacking the second!

The No14 seed then has Centre Court on its feet with an almost gravity-defying backhand pass to bring up set point! Sensational!

Rublev takes it with a brilliant serve and forehand combo, passionately celebrating towards his player box.

Defending champion Carlos Alcaraz finds himself a set down on Centre Court!

Jarry* 3-6 6-7 7-6 7-6 2-5 Norrie

Jarry on the offensive knowing he needs to break either in this game or the next Norrie service game or he is out of Wimbledon – and that gets him to 0-15.

At 15-15, he has a chance as the court opens up… but crucially his forehand up the line finds the net, not the court.

Slider serve out wide and Norrie is a game away.

Jarry 3-6 6-7 7-6 7-6 2-4 Norrie*

Thunderous serve to kick off the game. A cool 132mph. Too hot to handle for Norrie.

But Norrie comes bouncing back and whips a forehand up the line for a winner.

Then at 30-15, Jarry has a simple short ball with Norrie stranded at the net… but for some reason he smashes the ball towards the Brit and finds the net.

30-30, pressure on, and Jarry pushes one wide to offer up break point… but this is effectively a match point…

Second serve… brilliantly saved, coming in and half-volleying into the open court. Well played.

More deft handiwork from Jarry but Norrie gets him back to deuce by peppering that slinky forehand into the Jarry backhand, which eventually breaks down.

Superb inside-in forehand return has Jarry scrambling… and netting…

Ace.

Jarry survives.

Alcaraz 6-6 Rublev*

There’s a ripple of applause as Carlos Alcaraz steps up to serve, and he duly responds with an ace.

The Spaniard takes things up a notch by thwacking what must be the fastest forehand winner of the match so far – 30-0.

Alcaraz then hits an ace down the T to bring up three game points.

He only needs one, Rublev slapping a backhand return wide. We are going to a tiebreak.

Alcaraz* 5-6 Rublev

Andrey Rublev lands a huge 139mph first serve, which Alcaraz floats long, 15-0.

The Russian’s next point ends in a horribly miscued forehand, 15-15.

Gasps go around Centre Court as Alcaraz slips! But thankfully he bounces straight up seemingly okay, albeit having lost the point for 30-15.

Rublev surprisingly nets a routine forehand for 30-30, and suddenly Alcaraz can smell a chance. The No14 seed shuts the door, however, landing a first serve that his opponent can only send into the net.

Wow, what a return that is by Alcaraz, flat and hard onto Rublev’s backhand wing, the underdog has no chance and suddenly it’s deuce.

Alcaraz can’t get Rublev’s next serve back, however, bringing ip a game point – which the Russian takes.
