Wild twist after newly single woman turns to TikTok to track down mystery man she met at Chris Stapleton concert

It seemed like it was going to be a romcom meet-cute in the making – but it resulted in a lesson being learned romance.

When TikTok user Pam took to the platform in search of a man she had met at a Chris Stapleton concert, she wasn’t expecting it to turn into a multi-part saga.

Pam, who is newly single for the first time in almost 40 years, was recalling the moment she met the mystery man at the concert in Burlington, Alabama.

‘I was in the pit, which is right in front of the stage, met some pretty cool women around me – it was a lot of fun,’ she shared.

However, right before Chris Stapleton went on stage, a man walked up to her and immediately got close.

‘[He was a] big, tall, beautiful, gorgeous man,’ she said cheekily. ‘[He] said, “I’ve been here since 5 o’clock and I’d like to get back to the front where my place was.’

In response, Pam told him to just ask the people around him to move. However, instead of following her advice, the man put his arm around her waist.

‘He just kept looking at me, and I said “hey”, and he kept standing there.

‘Before I knew it, he had his arm around my waist and he said, “I think I’ll just stay here,”‘ she recalled in surprise.

Pam, who has been single for less than a year, admitted she was shocked by his boldness.

‘And instead of me saying, “I would love that,” I was just dumfounded.’

After their exchange, Pat said the man walked away. ‘And I want to find this man,’ she added.

Her video went viral and kicked off a series, with Pam desperately trying to find the man, only to hear from a woman who thinks she may know him a few days later.

‘She said, “I was not far from you. They were standing right next to us, we actually talked to them,”‘ Pam told People.

‘And I asked, “Is he single?” She said, “No, he’s married. His wife was right there with him.”‘

After conversing with the woman, Pam confirmed it was him – and was shocked by his audacity.

‘I just found it very odd that a married man would walk up to a woman like that with maybe six people standing between them and their spouse,’ she told the publication.

Some users on TikTok wanted Pam to track down his wife and let her know what her husband was doing, but Pam said she’s ‘not into destroying relationships or marriages.’

‘I didn’t make that event happen. I was standing in one spot for five hours and he came up to me, so I didn’t feel it was my job to contact his wife. And nothing happened,’ she pointed out.

Her series sparked a conversation about dating in the modern world, with Pam shocked at how much its changed since she dated her ex over 40 years ago, describing it as a ‘somber scene.’

‘You weed out scammers and people who are too far away, who you have things in common with, and you’re left with singles who are desperately lonely. I’m trying to figure out a way to take it from behind a phone to face to face,’ she explained.

She added the days of meeting in person seem to be ‘completely gone.’

‘I think it’s gotten worse in recent years because people are so scared to be vulnerable and put themselves out there, to trust again,’ she hypothesized.

Although disappointed, Pam says the experience helped her understand what she’s looking for moving forward and what to be wary of.

‘You have to do different things. I was scared to death to travel solo and I’m doing that now, because it gets me out of my comfort zone. That concert was the first time I went to a concert alone. I loved it and I’ll do it again,’ she said.

‘You gotta swallow that confidence pill and get out there and just do whatever you want to do and and be happy. Just live your life.’
