After the death of Ratan Tata, the looming questions prevails about who will take the reins of the business. From Noel to Leah, here are the speculated forerunners who might the helm.

Ratan Tata, former chairman of Tata Sons, passed away in Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital on Wednesday (October 9). He was 86. Ratan Tata was admitted to hospital two days for age-related complications and was shifted to ICU after his health worsened on Wednesday.
Hours after Ratan Tata’s death, speculations are rife that who would succeed the visionary businessman as he never married. Now the biggest question is who will succeed Tata Group, a behemoth worth Rs 3800 crore which deals in everything from Tea to Airline.

N. Chandrasekaran
Chandrasekaran took over as the Chairman of Tata Sons after Ratan Tata stepped down in 2017. Earlier, he was the CEO of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). It is expected that he may become the successor of Ratan Tata.
Noel Tata
Noel Tata, Ratan Tata’s half-brother, is the son of Naval Tata (from his second marriage). Noel Tata takes care of Zudio and several other business ventures of Tata Group. He children – Maya Tata, Neville Tata and Leah Tata – are also seen as potential successors of Tata’s legacy.
Leah Tata
Leah Tata has completed her Master’s degree in Marketing from IE Business School. In 2006, she had joined Tata Group and is currently Vice President at The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL).
Maya Tata
Maya Tata started her journey with Tata Group as an analyst with Tata Capital.
Neville Tata
Neville Tata started his career at Trent, a retail business which runs Westside.
