What happened in Season 1 of The Last of Us?
Season 1 of HBO’s videogame adaptation watched Joel and Ellie unite on a collision course to find a cure for cordyceps. Through their harrowing travels stopping in cities like Kansas City, Salt Like City and more, the pair fought off their fair share of Infected people, rebellious factions and those struggling for power.
In the finale, though, when Joel realized how harvesting the cure would affect Ellie — cordyceps grows in the brain — he killed many Fireflies to get to her before the operation and take her back to Jackson, Wyoming.
