West Indies coach Darren Sammy has been quizzed over the bombshell allegations against a current player that resurfaced during the first Test against Australia.
Reports suggest 11 women are among the alleged victims, with one of the women just 18 years old.
One of the alleged offences includes rape, while the teenager was allegedly assaulted by the cricketer when they were on a date in March, 2023.

“We’re all aware of what’s been going on in the media,” Sammy said when asked about the allegations on Wednesday.
“I’m very close to my players.
“I’ve had conversations with them to make sure their mental space is good.
“One thing I could say is that we believe in justice.
“We are a community that believes justice must be served. However, there is a process. As you say, there are allegations.”
There are also claims that local authorities have “stonewalled” the complainants since the West Indies returned from Australia following the tour in 2023-2024, but Sammy dismissed that suggestion.
“We will continue to support in whatever way we can to make sure due process and the right system is followed,” Sammy said.
“As a cricketing board and me as head coach, I want justice. My mum raised me well.
“As of now, it’s all allegations. We know the justice system. You have got to wait for things to process.”
No charges have been laid bu there are reports that the alleged victim told the player last year that he would be incarcerated.
“I’m not aware of that part of it,” Sammy said.
“I’m not a judge and I’m not a prosecutor.
“Just like you, the information that has come out is what we have.
“I’m pretty sure at the end of the day, justice will be served.”
Officials from Cricket West Indies are not commenting on the matter.
“Cricket West Indies is unaware of the circumstances and, therefore, is not in a position to comment at this time,” CWI president Kishore Shallow recently said in a statement.
“CWI has not received any communication or official information (about the matter),” they again said on Saturday (AEST).
The West Indies are not expected to change the line-up of their team when the face Australia in the second Test on Friday morning (midnight AEST).
