The conceptual ‘Vision’ bone conduction headset has been designed by the Kyungsung University Industrial Design Department KSID as a supportive piece of technology that would aid users with a visual impairment. The headset works by providing the user with a different kind of support in the form of companionship, which will keep them company as they go about their daily routine. This is positioned as a way to help keep wearers feeling confident and independent each day.
The conceptual ‘Vision’ bone conduction headset is equipped with an artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled camera that would offer object recognition and would relay the information to the wearer in auditory format. This would help to keep them safer when navigating city streets and beyond.
