A U.S. man faces drunk driving charges after hitting a parked car at the Canadian Tire Centre following an Ottawa Senators hockey game.

An Ottawa police spokesperson didn’t provide the driver’s name, but said he made a “costly mistake” in choosing to drive impaired from the Kanata hockey arena to their hotel, a five-minute walk away.

The man’s license was suspended for 90 days, and his truck was impounded for a week.
