The hunt is on for two women who allegedly stole thousands of dollars’ worth of merchandise from a retail store in the city’s west end earlier this month.

Toronto police say two women attended the store in the area of Queen St. W. and Ossington Ave. around 1:30 p.m. on July 15.

The women allegedly “distracted the store employee while they stole items from the store.”
“The total value of the stolen items is approximately $13,000,” police said in a statement released Friday.

Investigators subsequently identified two suspects, both of whom were previously known to police.
Veta Caldarar, 55, of Toronto, is wanted for theft over $5,000, failure to comply with an undertaking and failure to comply with a probation order.
She’s described as 5-foot-4 with a large build and black hair.
Flori Ciurar, 35, of Toronto, is wanted for theft over $5,000 and failure to comply with an undertaking
She’s described as five-feet-tall with a medium build and black hair.

Investigators have released images of the two wanted women hoping members of the public can help track them down.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of either of the two suspects is urged to call police at 416-808-1400 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
