Two students hospitalised after being hit by car outside school

Two school students have been hospitalised after they were hit by a car in Canberra.

According to police, a green Holden Commodore station wagon hit the St Edmund’s College students near their school on Canberra Avenue in Griffith this morning.

The boys, aged 14 and 15, were taken to hospital in a serious condition.

The same car then continued along the road before crashing into other cars and coming to a stop near the Manuka shops.

The driver was taken to hospital and is under police guard.

Sections of the road remain closed as police investigate the incident.
