Police cracked down on an illegal North York cannabis dispensary that led to two men being charged and the seizure of a loaded handgun.

Toronto Police said officers executed a search warrant on Saturday in the Jane St.-Sheppard Ave. W. area. Two men who appeared to be staff members were located with one of them attempting to flee from officers.
Both men were arrested and police seized cannabis products, cash and a loaded handgun that was allegedly in the possession of one of the men.

Mohamed Ali, 29, of Toronto, is charged — among other offences — with unauthorized possession of a firearm, careless storage of a firearm, possession of a loaded restricted firearm, disobeying a court order and failure to comply with a release order.
Nam Nguyen, 19, of Toronto, is charged with possession for the purpose of selling cannabis and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime.

CABBIE HOSPITALIZED AFTER DOWNTOWN STABBING
A cab driver in his 40s was hospitalized after an early morning stabbing in downtown Toronto.
Toronto Police said on the social media site X that they responded to an unknown trouble call Sunday at about 5 a.m. in the College St.-Spadina Ave. area after a cab driver was assaulted.

A man in his 40s was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said three people were in custody with one of the suspects also hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
