On Wednesday, the Born in the U.S.A. rocker released a four-track EP from the European leg of his Land of Hope and Dreams trek that including his blistering attack on the president.
When he kicked off his tour last week, Springsteen lashed out at Trump, calling him “unfit” for office.
“The mighty E Street Band is here tonight to call upon the righteous power of art, of music, of rock ’n’ roll in dangerous times,” he told the crowd in Manchester, England, according to a post shared on his website and YouTube channel. “In my home, the America I love, the America I’ve written about, that has been a beacon of hope and liberty for 250 years, is currently in the hands of a corrupt, incompetent and treasonous administration.”
Springsteen, who supported Trump’s Democratic rival Kamala Harris during last year’s election, said America’s commander-in-chief has “no concern or idea of what it means to be deeply American.”

He also said that most of Trump’s colleagues have failed to shield Americans “from the abuses of an unfit president and a rogue government.”

After Springsteen’s lengthy critique, Trump fired back in a Truth Social post in which he called the 20-time Grammy winner “a pushy, obnoxious JERK, who fervently supported Crooked Joe Biden, a mentally incompetent FOOL, and our WORST EVER President, who came close to destroying our Country.”
“Springsteen is ‘dumb as a rock,’ and couldn’t see what was going on, or could he (which is even worse!)? This dried out ‘prune’ of a rocker (his skin is all atrophied!) ought to KEEP HIS MOUTH SHUT until he gets back into the Country, that’s just ‘standard fare.’ Then we’ll all see how it goes for him!” Trump added.
In follow-up posts, Trump lashed out at Taylor Swift and suggested Springsteen and other notable names should be investigated for election interference as he claimed they were paid to endorse Harris last fall.

The head of state charged that candidates “aren’t allowed to pay for ENDORSEMENTS, which is what Kamala did.”
Following the release of the new EP Wednesday morning, Trump ramped up his attack on Springsteen by posting a doctored video of himself hitting a golf ball alongside a clip of the singer taking a tumble onstage after he’s hit with the projectile.

The ongoing battle has drawn other rockers out of the woodwork, including Neil Young, who took to his website to warn Trump he’s “not scared” of the president.
“Bruce and thousands of musicians think you are ruining America. You worry about that instead of the dyin’ kids in Gaza. That’s your problem,” he wrote. “STOP THINKING ABOUT WHAT ROCKERS ARE SAYING. Think about saving America from the mess you made.”
The Canadian-born musician continued writing, “Taylor Swift is right. So is Bruce. You know how I feel. You are more worried about yourself than AMERICA. Wake up Trump.”
Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder also praised Springsteen for speaking out during a show in Pittsburgh, telling the crowd “the name-calling is so beneath us.”

But Trump has his own notable supporters, including Kid Rock, who said his fellow Michigander, Bob Seger, “smokes” Springsteen.
“Bruce Springsteen is another one of the liberals who has mountains of money who so desperately wants to keep his good standing in the eyes of Hollywood and the elite,” Kid Rock said during an appearance on Fox News. The Bawitdaba singer then accused Springsteen of impersonating a “working-class hero” and said he wants to be “in good standings with the Hollywood elite.”
“Just another person with TDS (Trump derangement syndrome) at the highest levels,” Rock added. “To be in Europe talking junk about our president who gets up and works his ass off for this country, every day, and his administration is doing such great things … Thank God for him. But to do that in Europe … what a punk move.”
