Michael had to deliver an original speech to the house, and sparked anger among some housemates with his comments
Michael Fabricant was taken to task by Trisha Goddard as she accused him of getting ‘dangerously close’ to Islamophobia in the Celebrity Big Brother house.
In the latest episode ahead of the first live eviction, the celebrities were tasked with getting the power in the house turned back on by performing talents for the housemates.
While Chesney Hawkes had to repeatedly sing his hit One and Only, Michael was asked to perform an original speech for the housemates.

And when Chesney Hawkes asked what he would do about immigration in the UK. the former Lichfield MP said: “Well first of all I’m not, like a lot of people I expect, of English origin.
“My surname is French, and I’m of Jewish extraction so I’m a real immigrant.
“And the point I’m making is, when Jewish people, when they usually come to this country they believe do in Rome as the Romans do.
“So not come to this country if your aim is to change everyone to your way of thinking.”
He was interrupted by former chat show host Trisha Goddard, who rebutted: “Hang on. Are you slipping into Islamophobia?”
“Who mentioned Islamophobia?,” Michael asked, before Trisha insisted: “It’s getting dangerous.”
Michael defended himself, telling her: “No don’t misunderstand me. I’ve tried to explain this country has benefited from wave upon wave of immigration.”
Chesney defended Michael and said that he didn’t know why Trisha had brought up Islamaphobia as Michael ‘wasn’t talking about that’.
Michael later went to the diary room to vent his frustrations towards Trisha following the tense exchange.
“She was stereotyping me as a Conservative MP,” he told the camera. “Then she suddenly jumped on to the subject of Islamophobia.
“I thought it was a bit simplistic for her to jump on to that and I didn’t like it.”
