A car became engulfed in flames and a second vehicle was damaged by fire from a burning pile of trash in the University Park area of Los Angeles Monday morning.
The fire was reported in the 100 block of West 33rd Street around 12:15 a.m.
Firefighters arrived to find a rubbish fire on the sidewalk that had spread to a nearby parked car.

The crew quickly doused the flames but the car was gutted by the fire which also spread to the front end of a pickup truck parked behind it.
There were no immediate reports of injury and it was unclear how the fire was started.
