Transfer news live: Man Utd submit big Sesko bid, Isak’s agent speaks out, Arsenal battle Liverpool

Manchester United have submitted an offer of €75m (£65m) plus €10m (£8.7m) to RB Leipzig for striker Benjamin Sesko reports The Independent’s Miguel Delaney.

Sesko has been on United’s radar for a while with the club assessing whether they have a realistic chance of signing the forward.

Their bid comes another Newcastle submitted a second offer for Sesko which is slightly lower than Man Utd’s.

Sesko scored 21 goals in all competitions last season for Leipzig and has recorded 39 goals and eight assists in 87 appearances for the German club since signing from RB Salzburg in 2023.

His Leipzig contract runs until 2029.

Wolves forward Goncalo Guedes is set to leave for Spanish side Real Sociedad, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The deal will be worth around €4m initial fee plus €2m in add-ons.

Alejandro Garnacho is prioritising a move to Chelsea this summer, with the Argentina international awaiting a formal move from the Blues.

It is believed that Chelsea are keen on Garnacho and have carried out background checks, though they are said to value him at £30, which is £10-£15m below United’s evaluation.

Newcastle continue their well-documented search for a striker, and now PSG’s Goncalo Ramos appears to be on their list of targets.

PSG are said to be happy to let the Portuguese leave, though it is not known for sure how much they would demand for his signature.

Al Hilal are the latest team to show interest in Darwin Nunez, with the Saudi club reportedly ramping up their interest in the Liverpool striker.

Liverpool are open to letting Nunez leave this summer, and are said to want around £70m for the Uruguayan.

PA reports that recently-promoted Burnley are in advance talks to sign Chelsea’s Armando Broja, with the 23-year-old reportedly keen to sign for the Clarets.

The deal is worth in the region of £20m for a five-year deal.

Broja spent last season on loan at Everton but endured an injury-hampered campaign and the Toffees opted not to make the move permanent.

There are mixed reports on Manchester United’s hunt for a goalkeeper this weekend.

Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport says United have moved into pole position to sign PSG’s Gianluigi Donnarumma after initial contact was made with the club.

But elsewhere it has been reported by TalkSport that United are considering moving for Newcastle’s Nick Pope, and that the club are reluctant to get dragged into a bidding war with Chelsea, City and others over Donnarumma.

Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr have stopped their attempt to sign Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes.

Fernandes had already turned down a move to the Saudi Pro League earlier this summer when Al-Hilal came calling and is still uninterested in leaving Old Trafford.

Al Nassr had made informal contact with the club but decided not to continue with their talks when it became clear no deal was possible.
