Tory boroughs refuse to join Sadiq Khan’s Green Belt review

Not all of the councils which agreed to participate in the review are Labour-run. Harrow, which is Conservative-controlled, accepted the offer of membership, as did Havering – run by a coalition of independent councillors and Labour – and the same was true of Kingston-upon-Thames, Richmond-upon-Thames, and Sutton, all three of which are run by the Liberal Democrats.
