The couple updated their social media as they expressed their pride
Giovanna Fletcher took to her Instagram and announced “today’s the day” as she shared an exciting family update alongside husband Tom Fletcher.
Tom and Giovanna tied the knot in May 2012 after several years of dating and have since given birth to their three children, Buzz, Buddy and Max. In 2020 when Giovanna starred on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, she shared that McFly’s hit song All About You was a gift for her.
She revealed: “That was my Valentine’s present. It was coming up to Valentine’s Day, Tom hadn’t got me a Valentine’s present, so he got into the studio and just literally wrote it super quickly.
“”He said ‘it’s just one of those songs that just came out’ and recorded a version that’s just him, really beautiful, and then gave me the disc for Valentine’s Day.”
The song proved a hit to fans as well as Giovanna, and was chosen as the single for Comic Relief in 2005 as she explained: “Then Comic Relief got in touch and said, ‘we want you to do the song and lead the campaign this year, do you have anything that’s appropriate?”
Taking to her Instagram on Monday (March 24) Giovanna posted a shared update with Tom that read: “Today’s the day! Last September we spent 6 weeks on the Wirral with Buzz, where he filmed his first ever TV role as Noah in @andyandtheoddsocks for @cbbc.
“Watching him alongside his young cast mates was such a beautiful experience – not only did they deliver on set, but every night they’d get together for a proper jam session. The bonds they formed were so pure and full of adventure and fun, allowing each of them to be exactly who they are. It’s was so uplifting to witness.“Every single member of the adult cast and the crew made this something Buzz will look back on with such fond memories.”
She finished: “Andy and the Band: Rock Star School is on CBBC every night at 5:40, or you can catch the whole series on @bbciplayer now. ENJOY! Xx”.
Fans were quick to flock to the comments and show their support, @loulachristian wrote: “Ahh I wondered why you were running along our coastline ! Hope you loved The Wirral and good luck Buzz” and @mcflywonderland added: “He’s a superstar!”
Friends and co-stars also appeared, as Tom’s Strictly Come Dancing partner Amy Dowden wrote: “BUZZ, what a star! X” and Andy Day who stars in Andy and the Band added: “buzz you are a little legend!!”.
Earlier this year, Buzz also made his first musical debut as he starred in Starlight Express in which he portrayed the narrator Control in the Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber roller skate musical.
At the time, Tom shared how proud he is of his son, as he wrote: “I can’t even begin to describe the overwhelming pride (and nerves!) watching him run out onto that stage and deliver those opening lines and then give the most amazing performance”.
