'They don't live where we live': How communities hear each other in a divided country

NPR member station reporters spoke with dozens of people across the nation about personal experiences and their sense of community. Working with an AI non-profit named Cortico, we analyzed dozens of hours of these conversations to identify patterns. People with different backgrounds, and different political viewpoints, had a lot in common.
