Mohamed Salah has warned Manchester City that he has his sights set on winning the Premier League with Liverpool again next season.

The Egyptian scored and assisted in Sunday’s 5-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur to claim a second league title of his Reds career after City’s historic run of four consecutive triumphs between 2021 and 2024.

However, Pep Guardiola’s side were unable to add a fifth consecutive Premier League title to their cabinet this season after a difficult campaign at the Etihad. Instead of fighting for title honours, City have found themselves fighting for Champions League qualification instead.

However, after an upturn in form in the last couple of months has seen them record 20 points from the 30 last on offer, Guardiola’s side looked well-placed to challenge at the top of the Premier League next season after a summer rebuild.

Nonetheless, Salah has warned Liverpool’s title rivals – City and Arsenal – that he already has his sights set on retaining the Premier League title next season.

Salah wrote on X on Tuesday night: “This is what we wanted to deliver to our fans more than anything. This is a club that should always compete for everything and be right at the top. No excuses.

“All teams win games but in the end there’s only one champion. That’s what history remembers and this applies to next season as well.”

Earlier this month, Salah signed a new two-year deal at Anfield.
