The Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office said the youngster, who faces second-degree murder and second-degree attempted murder charges, was allegedly livid over his computer being taken away, so he stabbed his mom and his grandmother.

Prosecutors said the events were allegedly set off by the teen’s argument with his mom Vanessa Chendemi, 36, and grandmother Concetta Chendemi, 56, in the family’s Selden, N.Y., home on the evening of April 7.

Authorities said the mom confronted the boy about missing class and the grandma said his computer should be taken away as a punishment.

The district attorney’s office said the teenager grabbed a knife and stabbed his grandmother first before stabbing his mom, who fell to the ground and played dead. The boy then continued stabbing his maternal grandmother dozens of times in total before taking off.

The Suffolk County Police Department said the injured mom stumbled outside and flagged down a passing driver. She called 911 once inside the vehicle.

She was taken to a hospital where she continued to recover from serious injuries.

The boy was arrested later that night.

“This is an exceptionally tragic case that has devastated a family,” Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney said in a statement.

“When a child allegedly turns violent against their own family members, it creates layers of trauma that extend far beyond physical injuries. Our office will pursue justice for the victims of these horrific acts.”
