Another one bites the dust. Weeks after Leva Bonaparte announced her exit from Southern Charm, Taylor Ann Green revealed that she too would not be returning to the long-running Bravo series.
Green made the “bittersweet announcement” in an Instagram post today.
“After a lot of conversations and thought this past year, it is with a heavy but peaceful heart to announce that I will be stepping away from Southern Charm next year,” she wrote in her caption. “These past 5 years with NBC and Bravo have been some of the most crazy but exciting times of my life. I will forever be thankful to the network, production teams, Bravo family and all the fans for ultimately cheering me on to where I am today.”
“A wild rollercoaster but an incredible one to say the least,” she added, noting that she’s “so excited” to focus her time on her athleisure company Reset Athletic.
Green first joined Southern Charm in Season 7 as Shep Rose‘s girlfriend, though they broke up after more than two years of dating. The former reality star was later entangled in a Bravo scandal when she kissed Rose’s best friend Austen Kroll, who was in a previous situationship with her then-good friend Olivia Flowers, ahead of Season 9.
Green then returned for Season 10 with a new boyfriend, Gaston Rojas, and bone to pick with his ex-girlfriend Salley Carson, who joined the show as a full-time cast member.
In a January interview with DECIDER, Green hinted at her impending exit from Southern Charm when she confirmed that reality TV was not in her five-year plan.
“I think that’s why I launched a brand in hopes that that will take off so that I don’t have to do reality TV anymore,” she said during our Zoom chat. “It’s not for the faint of heart, I’ll say that. So you really have to have a backbone. And sometimes I find myself, especially after last year and kind of going into this year, it’s like I’m really trying to build that back. But it’s not easy.”
Southern Charm is currently streaming on Bravo.
