HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Authorities are searching for two men they believe are responsible for a deadly double shooting in a southeast Houston neighborhood on Wednesday.

The Houston Police Department said investigators believe two men in their late teens or early 20s were sitting in the garage of a home in the South Belt/Ellington neighborhood when two gunmen pulled up in a white Mercedes and shot them.

HPD Lt. Larry Crowson said shots were fired at about 8:56 p.m., and the suspects fled the scene.

When police arrived at the home on Rolleston Lane, they found a young man dead in the garage and another inside the house who had also been shot.

He was taken to the hospital in critical condition, according to police.

Investigators believe an argument led up to the shooting, but a motive is still being determined.

If you know anything about this case, authorities urge you to contact the Houston Police Department’s Homicide Division at (713) 308-3600.
