South American Cereal Exporters Could Be ‘Winners’ in Trade War, FAO Says

Maximo Torero, chief economist at the UN’s Food & Agriculture Organization, says South American countries stand to benefit from ongoing trade tensions between the US and China by positioning themselves as alternate cereal providers. “We are living in a very concentrated market where we have very few exporting countries of these commodities,” Torero tells Bloomberg Television.
