It’s pre-season tour time and Manchester United are set to take part in the Premier League Summer Series in the United States.
United will face West Ham, Bournemouth and Everton in the pre-season competition, with fans set to catch a glimpse of Bryan Mbeumo in United action for the first time.
Mbeumo will line up alongside fellow new-boy Matheus Cunha, after the former Wolves man made his debut against Leeds in the summer’s opening pre-season friendly.
While there’s plenty to look forward to on the field, as is so often the case on pre-season tours, it’s the off-the-field action that could prove to be the most fascinating aspect of the trip to the US.
United are still on the hunt for a striker and number of players still need to be offloaded. Marcus Rashford’s loan move to Barcelona has been confirmed but wantaway quartet Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia are still on the club’s books. Progress needs to be made in the coming weeks.
Ruben Amorim will be speaking to the media throughout the trip to the States, as will plenty of the United players, and you can get all the news sent direct to your phone by signing up to our FREE WhatsApp service here.
