During the ILT20 tournament, former Pakistani cricket star Shoaib Akhtar had a light-hearted interaction with Dolly Chaiwala, a tea vendor who shot to fame. The meeting took place ahead of the match between Gulf Giants and MI Emirates, and Akhtar later shared the moment on Instagram, calling Dolly “a lovely character with an inspiring story.”
In the video, Akhtar quizzes Dolly, asking if he has watched his matches. When Dolly enthusiastically responds, “Yes sir, I’ve seen so many of your matches,” Akhtar asks, “Did you feel bad when I used to bowl to Sachin and take his wicket?” Without hesitation, Dolly says, “Yes sir”. Akhtar, with a grin, replies, “Mujhe bhi bura lagta tha (I also used to feel bad).”
