A second person, a 24-year-old Toronto man, has now been charged with murder in the fatal shooting of a Brampton man last spring.

Peel Regional Police said Jevon Harris-Smith, 30, was shot multiple times in the early morning hours on April 5, 2024, while in front of his home in the Finegan Circle-Sudeley Lane area in Brampton.
Cops said two suspects fled in a red vehicle, later determined to be stolen.
Police, meanwhile, determined Harris-Smith was not the intended target in the deadly violence.

A young offender, who can’t be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was charged with first-degree murder on May 29, 2024.
On Thursday, cops said further investigation led to a second suspect being identified.
Dennis Mclean was arrested on Wednesday and charged with first-degree murder and conspiracy to obstruct justice.
