Multidisciplinary environmental consultancy E3P has welcomed a new principal ecologist. Sammy Pritchard arrives as the firm looks to grow its Midlands team to more than 20 professionals.
Stephanie Cox, director and head of Midlands at E3P, commented, “With Sammy’s expertise in ecology, she is a fantastic asset to our growing Midlands team. Her in-depth knowledge of environmental legislation will ensure our clients are well-informed and able to deliver high-quality, sustainable projects.”
Cox leads the firm’s expansion in the region, steering its development and strategic direction. She is supported by a strong leadership team, with Celia Kenyon, Rob Horseman, and Roy Walker providing strategic oversight and national expertise at the board level, ensuring a solid foundation as the Midlands team continues to grow.
According to Cox, the Midlands is “an exciting region”, with a “thriving property market and significant regeneration and development opportunities on the horizon” meaning there are plenty of opportunities for E3P. To make the most of this, E3P opened its second UK office in Birmingham last September, and aims to grow its Midlands team to 20 people over the next 18 months.
This latest hire forms part of the firm’s strategic growth in the region, having onboarded six specialists in recent months to serve its clients in the Midlands and the South. Pritchard brings more than a decade of experience in the conservation sector, having managed and assisted many restoration projects and developments for private, charity and public organisations – with expertise spanning the full planning and strategic side of ecology, from feasibility and design stages through to planning submission, delivery and discharge of conditions.
Commenting on her new role, Pritchard added, “Joining E3P at such a pivotal time for the company is hugely exciting and I’m proud to be a part of its ambitious Birmingham team. I look forward to helping our clients navigate environmental legislation and create the best schemes possible for both ecology and with the client’s objectives in mind.”
