Robbie Williams says ‘not ready for it’ as he shares sad family update

During a recent performance in Germany, the singer-songwriter opened up about his parents’ ill health

Robbie Williams gave fans a heartbreaking update about his family during his latest tour.

During a recent performance in Germany, the singer-songwriter opened up about his parents’ ill health.

The Rock DJ singer also spoke about his mother-in-law Gwen Field, who he “adores”.

Robbie, 51, has previously said his mum, Janet, was diagnosed with dementia, while dad Peter was dealing with Parkinson’s disease.

During the gig, which is part of his Britpop tour, The Sun said he told the crowd: “My mother has dementia and she doesn’t know who I am anymore.”

He added she also doesn’t know “where she is” now either.

Of dad Peter, he said: “My dad has Parkinson’s and he can’t leave the house.”

Robbie’s wife, Ayda, had told fans her mother had been diagnosed with cancer once again in October, the Mirror reports.

Robbie said at the concert: “My mother-in-law, who I absolutely worship and adore, has three illnesses.”

He then mentioned lupus, cancer and Parkinson’s before describing Gwen as the “most courageous lady” who was “fighting”.

He then told the audience it felt “very strange” to be “the grown up” and he was “not ready for it”.
