Rishi Kapoor loved his food and drinks so when he had to be in a hospital eating a vegetarian diet, he wasn’t in the best mood. Nutritionist Khyati Rupani, who took care of his diet when he was at Lilavati Hospital, recently shared that he was an “unhappy client” who was sometimes “extremely rude.” She shared that since Lilavati is a vegetarian hospital, and Rishi loved his non-vegetarian food, he would get very annoyed at the food being served.
Khyati was in conversation with Ronak Kotecha on his YouTube channel as she shared that some of her client were “very supportive” but some of them were “extremely rude.” When asked about the “rude” patients, Khyati immediately spoke about Rishi Kapoor and shared, “Mr Rishi Kapoor was somebody who hated his food getting cut and Mrs Neetu was always about, ‘inko mat do. Inko kyu gulab jamun dia? (Don’t give it to him. Why did you give him gulab jamun?)’”
Khyati further shared, “And he was a non vegetarian. Lilavati is a vegetarian hospital. Lilavat is pure vegetarian. You don’t even do eggs there so first and foremost, half of the population who comes there, there’s this one restriction. So yes, he was one of the very unhappy clients. I tried doing everything but I think he went irritated only.”

Ranbir Kapoor has previously said his father was a foodie and he too, has similar traits, but his mother Neetu has made sure that he has a healthier lifestyle. He shared at International Film Festival of India in Goa, “In today’s day and age, it has become an occupational hazard. (We work on a) visual medium, so you can’t let let loose. So I have had my mother’s side also, who was always controlling. She has always put it in our heads that, ‘you have to be healthy and fit, look at your family, they have so many problems and ailments.’ So I have really taken more towards my mom’s side. It’s not out of choice but because I knew that I have to be an actor and I have to look a certain way.”
