Raveena Tandon was just 21 years old when she adopted her daughters Pooja and Chhaya. Years later, when she married Anil Thadani in 2004, she had her two biological children Rasha and Ranbir. Raveena had previously described that Pooja and Chhaya were like “older siblings” to Ranbir and Rasha as they grew up. In a recent interview, Rasha shared that the four siblings often split up into teams of two with Chhaya and Ranbir being on one side, and Pooja and Rasha being on the other side.
Rasha shared with Femina that the four siblings being together is “madness.” She said, “Complete and utter madness. Chhaya didi and Ranbir are perhaps a little calmer, but Pooja didi and I, we can fight and argue as a team against them.” Rasha recently made her debut in Bollywood with the film Azaad.

Raveena adopted Pooja and Chhaya when the girls were 8 and 11. In an earlier interview, she shared that there was some speculation at the time of the adoption that these were Raveena’s biological daughters born out of wedlock. She shared with Zoom, “Whenever you do something, there will always be these trolls or someone will make some sexist remark, trying to create controversies out of nothing. I remember one article even saying that these must be her hidden children, which she must have had out of wedlock. When I was 21, they were eight and 11. So, when did I have them? When I was 11 or 12?”
In another chat with Lehren Retro, Raveena spoke about the love she shares with her daughters and said, “It’s a lifetime commitment and there are relationships, there are bonds and there’s love and there’s emotion and there’s everything that’s involved so yes there is definitely a bond that we all share. They are the older siblings to my younger ones.”
