Queen Máxima of the Netherlands cut a stylish figure in a crimson ensemble with a matching wide-brimmed hat today as she visited an award-winning business in her country’s south.
The royal, 53, chose a formal red outfit for her visit to Royal Cosun, an agricultural co-operative in the village of Dinteloord and the winner of the King Willem I award – the most prestigious business accolade in the Netherlands.
Underneath a cherry-coloured coat, Máxima wore a crimson silk skirt and a long-sleeved blouse in the same shade.
The mother-of-three accessorised her tailored top with a diamond-encrusted brooch in the shape of a flower.
While Máxima wore red patent high heels and carried a snake-skin clutch bag, the most striking part of her outfit was undoubtedly her dramatically tilted headwear.
Beneath her hat, the Dutch queen’s shoulder-length, blond hair was swept back to reveal a pair of diamond earrings.
Radiant Máxima kept her make-up simple for the occasion, adding brown eyeshadow to her kohl-lined lids and a slick of lipstick.
The King Willem I awards honour businesses that have shown ‘courageous, resilient and sustainable leadership’.

The second week of January has been a particularly busy – and varied – one for Queen Máxima.
Only yesterday afternoon, she took part in a community embroidery project in The Hague.
Máxima was typically stylish in a purple ensemble as she participated in the At Home in The Hague art project run by the organisation Haags Verhaal.
Focused on finding the common thread that makes different people feel at home in the Dutch city, participants illustrate their sense of being at home by sewing a symbol or a phrase on a piece of fabric using a red thread.
Máxima, who looked striking in a purple outfit and tan high heels, threw herself into the project, embroidering a piece of fabric with her initial, ‘M’.
Dressed for the cool weather in a beige double-breasted coat with a waist belt, the royal soon removed her outerwear to reveal a pair of purple satin trousers and a matching top with statement sleeves.

She completed her look with a pair of towering tan suede heels and a matching clutch bag.
The beaming queen wore her blond, shoulder-length hair down in a classic blow dry and looked typically radiant despite wearing minimal make-up.
She added a pair of statement green and blue earrings and sported a slim watch on her left wrist along with a gold charm bracelet.
Máxima joined participants at the embroidery session, chatting and laughing with the other men and women as she embarked on her own sewing project – which she proudly held up for photographers.
She was later pictured pinning her work to a hut structure covered in participants’ creations.
For a New Year’s reception for foreign diplomats and employees at the Royal Palace in the Dutch capital on Tuesday morning, Máxima looked equally sensational in a statement coat.
The knee-length, A-line coat by Danish designer Claes Iversen featured starburst sequined embellishments across the body and sleeves.

She added a matching burgundy snake-skin clutch and opted for minimal jewellery and soft make-up.
Máxima completed her look by sweeping her blonde hair off her face and letting it fall down her back.
The monarch appeared in high spirits as she entered the royal palace, smiling and waving to the assembled crowds.
She last wore the chic coat in 2021, having previously shown it off in 2017, marking it as a firm favourite.
