The thriller will be available to watch for free for a limited time
Horror enthusiasts have only a handful of days remaining to catch a critically celebrated film that secured the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay in 2018.
Initially hitting cinemas in 2017, Get Out remains available for streaming on Prime Video until Tuesday, July 29.
The thriller represented a remarkable directorial debut for Jordan Peele, who claimed the Oscar for his screenplay. The narrative follows what appears to be a straightforward tale of Chris Washington, a Black man who accompanies his white girlfriend Rose Armitage for a weekend with her family.
What begins as an understandably anxious visit rapidly transforms into something far more menacing, as Chris discovers disturbing truths about his partner’s relatives.

The spine-tingling tale features London-born performer Daniel Kaluuya in the central role, whilst Allison Williams takes on the part of his romantic partner. The supporting cast includes The Handmaid’s Tale’s Bradley Whitford and Oscar-nominated Catherine Keener, who portray Rose’s parents, Dean and Missy, reports the Express.
At its core, Get Out examines intricate themes surrounding racial dynamics in America. The film tackles weighty subjects including slavery, whilst also addressing contemporary concepts such as cultural appropriation.
Following its debut, the psychological thriller garnered exceptional critical acclaim, achieving an impressive 98% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
The critics’ consensus raves: “Funny, scary, and thought-provoking, Get Out seamlessly weaves its trenchant social critiques into a brilliantly effective and entertaining horror/comedy thrill ride.”
