A previously discontinued flavoured milk-powder has returned to shelves after fans canvassed the brand to bring it back.
Beloved beverage Nesquik has re-introduced its ‘Banana’ flavour, with the product returning to the shelves of Woolworths, Coles and other major retailers from this week.
In good news for fans of the original Banana Nesquik, food brand Nestlé has confirmed they have not tinkered with the original recipe.
The re-released Banana Nesquik has the same memorable taste and distinct yellow powder colouring.
The Nestlé product is also housed in a replica of the original iconic tin, making it a nostalgic buy for those that enjoyed the drink during childhood.
Up until now, Strawberry and Chocolate Nesquik were the only flavours available at major retailers.
Nestlé Head of Marketing Dairy, Sid Kajale said the decision to resurrect Banana Nesquik was driven by fan demand.
‘Die-hard fans have been asking us to bring back this old-time favourite and we’ve heard you,’ said Sid.

After a seven-year hiatus, Nesquik Banana is back on shelves in Australian supermarkets with an RRP of $4 for a 250g can
‘Get in QUICK for this cult classics comeback,’ the Head of Marketing added,
Banana Nesquik is now available across all major retailers and is priced at RRP $4.00 for a 250g can.
It’s unclear at this stage whether the product return is permanent, or if it’s just a limited time only release.
The surprise product comeback comes after Nestlé quietly discontinued the popular buy in July 2018.
Nestlé previously confirmed to Daily Mail Australia last year that Banana Nesquik had been discontinued five years earlier.
Some Aussie shoppers were however still able to find the milk flavouring at specialty stores where it had been imported from overseas.
A TikTok video made by one Nesquik Banana fan alerted shoppers to the fact that while it was no longer available in major retailers, it could still be found at niche shops for a higher price point.

Holly, from Western Australia, (pictured) went to purchase her favourite snack before realising it was missing on shelves. She paid $8.99 to get her hands on an imported tub of banana flavoured Nesquik after is was no longer available at Coles and Woolworths
Holly, from Western Australia, shared asocial media video explaining that she’d started hunting around for the product after it had been taken out of regular supermarkets.
‘Coles and Woolworths Australia – you really let your fellow human beings down by taking away banana flavoured Nesquik,’ Holly said in the video.
Holly then explained that she was eventually able to find the in-demand product at Spudshed, a local supermarket in WA.
‘Now this is an import item from the UK so we’re going to be paying a bit more than $3.99,’ Holly continued while holding the 300g tub.
Comments on the video praised Holly’s find, with many fellow Banana Nesquik fans adding that they were willing to stump up the extra costs for an imported tin.
