Forget Boiler Room, it’s all about the Bao-ler Room now, right?
A popular Manchester restaurant and takeaway will be hosting its own monthly club night as the ultimate post-night out takeaway experience.
Pan-Asian street food venue Suki Suki, on Deansgate, will be holding a new late-night music event on the last Friday of every month with a range of B2B DJs and a host of happy hour specials.
Posed as a Boiler Room-style makeover, the event follows the viral success of an impromptu DJ set the venue held last year. Organisers said they want the Late Night Sounds at Suki Suki event to be a place for good vibes and a platform for up-and-coming talent.
The event, which will take place on the first Friday of every month from 11pm, will be a collaboration with local record labels, producers, DJs and artists, with local acts encouraged to reach out to get involved.
First opened in 2023, Suki Suki serves up a range of Eastern Asian delights, like bao buns, dumplings, ramen, chicken wings, and curries, alongside an expansive drinks menu featuring creative and quirky cocktails.

In addition to the new club night, the bar will also be hosting a new late-night Happy Hour every Friday and Saturday between 9pm and 11pm. The deal will include £6 cocktails, including its signature Yuzu Spritz, espresso martini and classic pornstar martini, as well as deals on small plate dishes, like burgers, baos, and gyozas.
The restaurant is co-owned by Raushan Kumar whose extended family is behind Namaste Nepal and the Great Kathmandu in West Didsbury, along with a handful of other Greater Manchester venues.
Raushan previously told the M.E.N about Suki Suki’s varying Asian menu. He explained: “There’s influences from Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, my mum’s Filipino, so we’ve got some Filipino food coming soon too. And obviously my dad’s Nepalese, so we’ll be bringing in that Nepalese Indian twist.”
Late Night Sounds at Suki Suki will begin on April 4 and will then continue every first Friday of the month from 11pm to 4am.
Suki Suki is on 227 Deansgate, Manchester, M3 4EN.
