Mark Kinson, 52, has been missing since January 31. His wife Angela says his disappearance is so ‘out of character’
Police have released new CCTV of a potential sighting of a Cardiff man who has been missing for nearly six months. Mark Kinson, 52, was last seen for certain on Friday, January 31 at around 9.45pm at Uphill Road in Llanrumney near his parents’ home. His family have been putting up posters and trying to raise awareness of his disappearance ever since.
A fresh appeal from South Wales Police released on Wednesday (July 23) says that despite “extensive enquiries”, there have been no confirmed sightings of Mark since January 31.
New CCTV footage has been released showing a person, which could be Mark, walking on the pavement opposite the Texaco garage in St Mellons on Sunday, February 2.

His wife Angela recently told WalesOnline that most of the CCTV they have been shown by police was “definitely” not of Mark but she believes this sighting at the Texaco garage “could possibly be him.”
Police have previously asked for anyone who might have been in that area on February 2 for dashcam footage, while a local has come forward to tell police they think there was a possible sighting of a man that matched Mark’s description walking along Began Road towards Cefn Mably on the morning of Monday, February 3.
“These are possible new sightings we have been made aware of and we’re hoping someone from these areas might know more,” Angela explained.
She added that she still has “a lot of hope” that her husband will be found.
“I know some people probably think I’m deluded because I have such a huge amount of hope,” Angela said. “That’s because I don’t want to think about the alternative but it’s also because I’ve heard many stories which have ended with missing loved ones being found even after an extensive time missing.
“Whatever has happened we know Mark would not intentionally go missing. Does someone who hasn’t come forward know something? Someone must know something.
“For there not to be any more CCTV is unbelievable. We urge if anyone has any information to please come forward even if it’s anonymously. We don’t need to know who you are. It’s irrelevant. We just want to find Mark.”
