A flashy supercar was halted by officers on the M42 in the West Midlands, with the eye-catching lime green Lamborghini drawing plenty of attention. Captured in a snapshot at the scene, the luxury car is seen parked up alongside a police vehicle.

West Midlands Police disclosed that the driver of the high-end motor was stopped for two breaches. The first issue was the absence of a front registration plate, and the second was the lack of a valid MOT for the vehicle, leading to the driver being reported, reports Birmingham Live.

On X (formerly known as Twitter), WMP Traffic shared: “D-Unit #ANPRInterceptors sighted this #Lamborghini on the M42 without a front registration plate.”

They added: “Upon further inspection the vehicle did not hold a valid MOT.”

The post concluded with the statement: “Driver reported.”

In the UK, it’s mandatory for all vehicles on the road to have a visible front number plate, and not complying can result in a hefty £1,000 fine.

Similarly, driving without a valid MOT could also land motorists with a fine up to £1,000.
