Police ‘increasingly concerned’ for missing man, 72, last seen on mountain bike

Police have issued an urgent appeal for the public’s help to find a missing 72-year-old man.

Named only as Nicholas, he was last seen riding a mountain bike on Friday afternoon.

His photograph and the appeal are now being shared by Greater Manchester Police on social media.

Nicholas was last seen at around 2.45pm in the Sale area of Trafford, at the Brooklands Road junction with Marsland Road.

He’s described as white, aged 5ft 9ins tall and slim.

Police said he was wearing a high-vis jacket and a black cycling helmet. He also had a navy blue Nike bag with him.

GMP said in the appeal: “He is thought to be riding a mountain bike.

“Officers are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare and want to make sure he is found safe and well.

GMP Trafford wrote on Facebook: “Can you help us find Nicholas (72) who was last seen in Sale this afternoon? He is thought to be riding a mountain bike.

“Anyone with info should call 101 quoting log 2905, so we can ensure he is safe and well.”
