Pedestrian killed in collision with Metrolink train in North Hollywood

Emergency crews were sent to a deadly Metrolink collision in North Hollywood shortly before noon Wednesday.

The incident involving a pedestrian was reported at 11:12 a.m. in the 7000 block of Tujunga Avenue, Los Angeles Fire Department spokesperson Margaret Stewart stated in a news alert.

The individual “struck by a Metrolink train is sadly beyond medical help and determined deceased on scene,” Stewart said.

No information regarding the identity of the deceased person has been released.

A total of 33 passengers were on board the train at the time of the crash. No injuries to the passengers were reported.

The incident remains under investigation.
