Fifteen people who took a chance in Queensland have won Oz Lotto’s $70 million jackpot prize on Tuesday night.
Each member will take home a $4,713,844 slice of the winnings from draw 1626.
It’s slightly more than a split of $70 million, because the entry also scored hundreds of wins in the smaller divisions.

The collective of winners who worked together to increase their chances of winning do not know each other, The Lott said.
They purchased their shares of the entry at 15 different Oz Lotto outlets across the eastern state.
Those Queensland outlets were in Arundel, Bellara, Heritage Park, Rochedale, Indooroopilly, Parkinson, Nerang, Bribie Island, Kenmore, Noosaville, Southport, Mermaid Waters, Hyde Park, and two different outlets in Inala.
But because they’re unknown to one another, the group can’t reach out to each other to spread the good news — and because some members of the winning group held unregistered entries, they might still be unaware of their win.
Holidays, retirement and a first home were on the cards for several of the winners.
One of the winners, a Brisbane man, said he would now be able to join family members “who are enjoying a holiday without me”, he told The Lott.
A Bribie Island man was woken to the phone call informing him of the life-changing win.
“I was just asleep. Bloody hell,” he said.
“This changes our lives. We’ve been trying to get our first home, so this will do that.
“Unbelievable. My heart is racing. I’d happily wake up to hear your voice any day of the week.”
‘I will be looking at retiring’
Another winner, a man from Richlands, initially thought his call from The Lott was a prank.
“I thought you were sh**-stirring me” he laughed. “I just can’t believe it.
“Funnily enough, I went to the outlet today to buy another share into the syndicate but it had sold out. If I had, I would have won double. But I’m happy with my $4.7 million.
“Believe you me, I will be looking at retiring.”
And another syndicate member, a man from Inala, initially heard the incorrect sum, and was in disbelief when the multi-million dollar reality hit.
“Oh my God. Oh my God. I thought you said I had won $47,000, but now it’s actually hit me that you said $4.7 million,” he said.
“I can’t believe this. It’s such a dream come true. My dad and sister are standing right in front of me, and now we’ve got my brother-in-law on the speed dial.”
Syndicate holders are urged to check their entries to see if they’ve become millionaires.
The division one winning numbers to look for are 14, 32, 13, 29, 41, 23 and 8, while the supplementary numbers were 43, 4 and 40.
