“If we were going to accept the pope’s death, it would have been some time, you know, when he was in the hospital and things were not looking very good. Then, he got out and was as active as he could be. In fact, I think he was saying more than most of us expected over the last week,” Amesse told the Ottawa Citizen on Monday.
