Oppo is preparing to officially unveil the Find N5 foldable smartphone, set to debut in China on February 20 before launching globally under the OnePlus Open 2 branding. With a series of leaked images from Evan Blass (@evleaks), we now have a clear look at Oppo’s next-generation foldable device.
Design and Display
One of the most notable features of the Oppo Find N5 is its ultra-thin profile. When unfolded, it reportedly measures just 4.2mm thick, making it the slimmest foldable smartphone yet. This would surpass the Honor Magic V3, which currently holds the record at 4.35mm.
The Find N5 will be available in three colors:
- Purple (Vegan Leather)
- White
- Black
Its camera island closely resembles the OnePlus 13, featuring a triple-camera setup with Hasselblad branding.
Oppo will likely equip the device with a large 8-inch LTPO OLED main display, featuring 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate for a smooth viewing experience. Oppo has also focused on minimizing the screen crease for a smoother user experience. Meanwhile, Oppo will likely equip the device with a 6.4-inch cover display, providing a compact yet functional external screen.
Performance and Hardware
Oppo is expected to power the Find N5/OnePlus Open 2 with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, up to 16GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage, delivering fast performance and ample space for users. This powerful combination should ensure seamless multitasking and top-tier performance.
The camera system is expected to consist of three 50MP sensors, covering wide, telephoto, and ultrawide shots. With Hasselblad’s tuning, users can anticipate high-quality imaging and improved color accuracy.
Battery and Durability
The Find N5 is rumored to pack a 5,600mAh battery, supporting 80W wired charging. This ensures fast charging speeds and long-lasting battery life, which is crucial for a foldable phone.
The device will offer IPX6, IPX8, and IPX9 water resistance ratings, enhancing its durability and protection against water exposure.
Launch and Availability
Oppo will officially unveil the Find N5 in China on February 20. After the launch, Oppo will likely introduce the device globally under the OnePlus Open 2 branding. With its slim design, advanced hardware, and high-end features, the Find N5 aims to be a strong competitor in the foldable smartphone market.
