One question too many? Sadhu kicks YouTuber out of his tent at Maha Kumbh Mela. Watch here | Trending News

On Monday, the Maha Kumbh Mela began at Sangam — the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers — with over 40 crore devotees taking the first holy dip amid the freezing temperatures in Uttar Pradesh. According to PTI, the Maha Kumbh is expected to witness participation from more than 45 crore people the year, making it one of the largest religious gatherings in history.

Videos of devotees and sadhus commencing the Mela have been dominating social media. One video, in particular, showing a sadhu thrashing a YouTuber with tongs in his tent is stirring up conversations. The video shows the YouTuber with a mic asking the sadhu questions. After answering a few, the sadhu gets irked and starts to strike the man, kicking him out of his tent. “Tumlog dekh rhe ho kya galat bola isney (Did you guys listen to what wrong he said)?” the sadhu asks the onlookers.

Sharing the video, an X user wrote, “YouTubers who come to cover Maha Kumbh will face more difficulties! If you ask useless questions to increase the reach of your channel, Babaji will fix them by hitting them with tongs.”

“Most deserving reply,” a third user reacted.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday addressed the first day of Maha Kumbh 2025. Taking to X, PM Modi said, “A very special day for crores of people who cherish Bharatiya values and culture! Maha Kumbh 2025 commences in Prayagraj, bringing together countless people in a sacred confluence of faith, devotion and culture. The Maha Kumbh embodies India’s timeless spiritual heritage and celebrates faith and harmony.”
