OC&C Strategy Consultants promotes Laura Gibb to partner

Global strategy consulting firm OC&C Strategy Consultants has strengthened its partner team in the UK with Laura Gibb.

Now in her thirteenth year at OC&C Strategy Consultants, Laura Gibb is a member of the TMT practice, which provides strategy and merger & acquisition services to clients in the telecom, media and technology sectors.

Gibb specialises in the media sector, having supported clients with a range of growth strategy topics as well as providing transaction and post-transaction support to investors, sponsors and management teams. She works for clients in the United Kingdom, and across the firm’s European network, with particular focus on the business information services and consumer internet segments.

Commenting on her appointment, Gibb said: “I am very proud to have to be elected to the partnership. It’s a privilege to do the work we do with our clients, and I look forward to playing a bigger role in the continued growth of the firm.”

Will Hayllar, Global Managing Partner of OC&C Strategy Consultants added: “Laura joined the business at Associate Consultant level and is now an integral part of our TMT practice, with deep expertise that will enhance our business and the wider TMT sector.”

“I’m delighted to welcome her into the partnership on her return from parental leave. It’s rewarding to see an OC&C’er navigate both professional and personal life stages within the firm.”

Gibb said that during her transition to partner, OC&C’s policies and informal support network played a “critical role” in enabling her to navigate both her career and parenthood. “It’s important to me to be part of a firm that not only ‘talks the talk’ on gender equity but also ‘walks the walk’.”

OC&C Strategy Consultants has long had formal policies in policies in place for parental leave. In 2023, the firm introduced equalised paid parental leave for all employees within the firm.

“Our people proposition is simple: to be the best home for the best strategy talent,” noted Hayllar. “This election reaffirms our commitment to nurturing and supporting exceptional people professionally but also providing our employees with policies that reflect the present day and support a sustainable consulting career.”
