6.34pm: And that is stumps on the third day, a fantastic one for England. They raced along for the first session-and-a-bit, securing a first-innings lead of 151 thanks to Brook’s 171, Stokes’ 80 and some quick lower-order hitting from Atkinson and Carse. And they have been rampant with the ball, with Woakes and Carse sharing six wickets between them. Woakes’ two-in-two to dismiss Williamson and Blundell changed the mood of the game completely, and Carse’s strike to trap Phillips lbw was another vital moment. It’s a long way back from here for the Kiwis. We’ll be back in the morning to talk you through it, but until then, thanks for your company.
