(NewsNation) — Investigators have released aerial footage of the wreckage of a small plane that crashed near Copake, New York, on April 12, killing all six people on board.

The Mitsubishi MU-2B-40 was “destroyed” in the crash, killing the pilot and five passengers, the National Transportation Safety Board said.

Two Massachusetts-based doctors, their son, daughter, and their children’s two partners died, the Associated Press reported.

Among the victims was Karenna Groff, who was named the 2022 NCAA woman of the year during her time as an MIT soccer player. She and her family were on their way to celebrate a birthday trip and the Passover holiday.

This incident happened two days after another small private plane crashed in the Hudson River, killing all six on board. The victims were a family of Spanish tourists, including Siemens Spain CEO Agustin Escobar, and the pilot Seankese Johnson.
