Nothing has officially launched its mid-range duo, the Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro, bringing premium features at a competitive price. While both devices share the same platform, the Pro model offers a more advanced camera system, additional features, and a slightly different design.
Design and Display
Both the Nothing Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro feature a 6.77-inch OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, 10-bit color depth, and a peak brightness of 1,300 nits. The Panda Glass protects the Pro model, ensuring durability against scratches and drops.
Nothing has retained its signature Glyph interface on the back, which serves as a unique notification system using LED lights for calls, messages, and alerts. Additionally, both devices come with IP64 water and dust resistance. The power button integrates an Essential Key, allowing users to quickly access personalized shortcuts and enhance usability.
Color options include Black, White, and Blue, though the Blue version will not be available in the US. While the Pro model only offers black and Grey color.
Internals and Software
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset powers both devices, delivering efficient performance and optimized power management. Depending on the market, users can choose from 8GB or 12GB of RAM with storage options of up to 256GB.
NothingOS 3.1, based on Android 15, powers the software experience, with Nothing committing to three major OS updates and six years of security patches, ensuring long-term support.
Camera
The Nothing Phone (3a) Pro boasts a 50MP main camera with a 1/1.56” sensor, f/1.88 aperture, and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). It also features a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, extendable to 6x using AI enhancements, and an 8MP ultrawide lens. The 50MP front-facing camera offers a 1/2.76″ sensor and f/2.2 aperture, ensuring high-quality selfies.
The Nothing Phone (3a), while maintaining the 50MP main camera, swaps out the periscope telephoto for a 50MP 2x zoom camera with a 1/2.74″ sensor. The 8MP ultrawide camera remains unchanged, but the selfie camera is downgraded to 32MP, compared to the 50MP shooter on the Pro model.
Battery and Pricing
Both phones house a 5,000mAh battery with 50W fast wired charging, capable of reaching 50% charge in just 19 minutes.
The Nothing Phone (3a) Pro is priced at £449 / $459 / €459 / INR 33,999 for the 12GB/256GB variant, while India gets additional lower-cost options: 8GB/128GB for INR 29,999 and 8GB/256GB for INR 31,999. The pre-orders starting on March 11.
The Nothing Phone (3a) is more affordable, starting at £329 / €329 / INR 24,999 for the 8GB/128GB model, while the 12GB/256GB version is priced at £379 / $379 / €379. The Indian market gets an extra 8GB/256GB variant at INR 26,999.
