Netflix fans have rushed to binge a ‘must-watch’ comedy series with Harry Potter and Skins stars in lead roles.
Snatch first hit screens back in 2000 as a film directed by Guy Ritchie and was loosely adapted as a series in 2017.
The television drama has seen two seasons since and follows a group of young scammers who find themselves with a truck loaded with stolen gold bullion and are soon involved in the world of organised crime.
Snatch boasts an impressive cast including Harry Potter actor Rupert Grint, Skins star Luke Pasqualino, Lucien Laviscount and Dougray Scott.
Both instalments, containing ten episodes each, were added to Netflix earlier this month and has since soared up charts and hit number ten of the top shows in the UK on the streaming platform this week.
The show has received a mixed reception from fans over the years and has scored 39% on Rotten Tomatoes’ Tomatoemeter and 68% on the site’s popcornmeter, with some viewers criticising the ‘poor script’ and others dubbing the series a ‘must-watch’.

‘I loved the series it’s amazing must watch.’;
‘Best bit of British telly I have seen in a long time. Do not let other so called ‘critics’ here discourage you. This is a class program and a must watch! There needs to be more series like these.’

‘The greatest final 10 episodes ever!’;
Though others have been so impressed and one penned: ‘Awful! Wanted to watch it but had to stop, tiring with a poor script.’;
‘This show was plain awful & had to fast-forward through the last two episodes just to finish it.’;
‘Not nearly as good as the first season. Seemed thrown together. The actors became caricatures. Plot lines made no sense.’;
‘Acting at points is cringy and just bad, not a terrible watch to be fair but not something I’d waste time watching. Film is miles above the series.’
The original film starred the likes of Jason Statham, Stephen Graham, and Brad Pitt, as it followed a ruthless gangster in a criminal underworld.
It contained two intertwined plots: one dealing with the search for a stolen diamond, the other with a small-time boxing promoter (Jason) who works for a ruthless gangster (Alan Ford).
It comes as Netflix fans raved over another comedy, sci-fi series Resident Alien that was also added to the streaming platform earlier this month.

Resident Alien first aired back in 2021 and follows extraterrestrial Dr. Harry Vanderspeigle (Alan Tudyk) after he crashed-landed onto Earth on a mission to destroy the human race.
Based in Colorado, the alien soon becomes enthralled by human beings and instead of exterminating, forms connections with them instead.
Harry even goes as far as trying to defend the planet from alien threats.
Based on a comic book series with the same name by Peter Hogan and Steve Parkhouse, Resident Alien has three seasons so far, with a fourth currently in the works.
Snatch is available to stream on Netflix.
