Very soon, Nando’s fans can get their hands on new menu items, including a burger and a tropical drink, and vote on a new sauce. However, not everyone is happy about the price
Nando’s has unveiled a tantalising new menu featuring six fresh options just in time for summer, but some devotees of the Peri Peri chicken brand haven’t taken kindly to the prices.
Starting from Tuesday, May 13, food enthusiasts will have the chance to indulge in these new offerings and even cast their vote for a brand new sauce. There is nothing quite like rewarding yourself after a hectic spell, or simply enjoying time with friends or family. For many, Nando’s is the go-to choice, whether dining in the restaurant or opting for takeaway. The Nando’s crew is known for regularly spicing up their menu. Just this past March, the popular chicken chain introduced its Extra Saucy Wings, bathed in the “secret” PERI-Flamer sauce.
Shaking things up once more, starting next week, patrons can sink their teeth into a novel burger creation that features grilled halloumi, red pepper and pineapple salsa, creamy slices of avocado, and Churrasco PERinaise, aptly named The Big Cheese. This delight comes nestled in a soft rustic Portuguese roll made with Wildfarmed regenerative flour.

Halloumi fans are in for a treat with the addition of Halloumi Sticks accompanied by a new dip, PERi-Honey. Nando’s says: “It’s the sweet wave you’ve been waiting for. Once you’ve tried it, you’ll want it on everything.” It is recommended as a perfect complement to drizzle over PERi-PERi chicken or to add a zesty touch to salads and chips.
The side dish selection is expanding too, with Summer Grains making an entrance – a mix of grains with green chickpeas and dried apricots, all tossed in lemon and oil, then finished with a smooth yoghurt dressing. Another newcomer is Charred Corn, which offers smoky sweetcorn drenched in a creamy, garlicky sauce, garnished with fresh spring onions and a sprinkle of PERi-Salt.
Plus, there’s a fresh summer beverage on the horizon, dubbed the Tropical Quencher, for the “ultimate summer slurp”.
From the Smoky Churrasco and Garlic barbecue to the more recent Nando’s x Fanta collaboration, Nando’s has a knack for revamping classic tastes or introducing entirely novel ones. Now, enthusiasts have until June 17 to cast their votes for a new sauce. To suggest a flavour, simply scan the QR code found on the in-house menus or visit the Nando’s website.
Following the buzz created by food influencers on social media about the latest offerings, fans were quick to voice their thoughts. As @tripleeatsfood discussed the new additions, one fan exclaimed: “This sounds so awesome love Nando’s.”
TikTok user @foodswithhasb also posted a video that garnered reactions. One person commented: “The peri honey is amazing. Haven’t tried the burger yet.” Another was eager, saying: “The new menu looks amazing! Can’t wait to try some of these dishes.”
Meanwhile, someone else praised: “The charred corn is so good,” and another noted: “That Big Cheese burger looks so good minus the avocado.”
Yet, not everyone was thrilled with the new menu, citing concerns over potential price hikes. One commenter speculated: “Prices going up again.” Another echoed this sentiment: “This just means they’re jacking up the prices again.” And a third simply said: “But the price..”
