MI vs KKR LIVE: Mumbai Indians up and running

A much-needed victory for Mumbai, and all without Jasprit Bumrah. Have they unearthed yet another gem? Time will tell, but they’ll travel to Lucknow next to take on Rishabh Pant-led LSG. SKY and Hardik are in form, they’ll only need to make sure that Rohit returns to his best.

MI vs KKR LIVE: “Collective batting failure”

Ajinkya Rahane does not mince his words. Calls it exactly what it was –  a collective batting failure by KKR. They’ll need to improve drastically, and they’ll need to be more consistent. For now, they look a shadow of the title-winning team from last year.

They take on Sunrisers Hyderabad next, at the Eden Gardens, in a repeat of last year’s final.

MI vs KKR LIVE: KKR hit bottom spot

Kolkata Knight Riders suffer their second heavy defeat of the season, and are now rooted to the bottom of the table. A poor start for the defending champions, who have a heavy NRR deficit (-1.4) to climb back from.

Mumbai Indians rise up to 6th, and now have a positive net-run-rate.

Mumbai Indians came back home, Mumbai Indians register a big win. Terrific victory, led by one of the most special debuts in IPL history. Ashwani Kumar, 4 wickets, the best figures by an Indian on IPL debut. Great showing by Trent Boult and Deepak Chahar with the ball as well, as KKR succumbed to their rashness.

Mumbai Indians beat Kolkata Knight Riders! A comprehensive eight-wicket victory, brought up by a classic Suryakumar Yadav six. That man is back in form, 27 off 9 balls! Ryan Rickelton stays unbeaten on 61 as well.

MI 121/2 (12.5) beat KKR 116/10 (16.2) by 8 wickets.

Suryakumar Yadav pummels Andre Russell for another two boundaries. Picks out the gap at mid-wicket first, and then upper cuts it for another 4 through third man. Completes 8,000 runs in T20 cricket!
