Multiple firefighters received minor injuries while battling a blaze on Fernbank Road in the Stittsville neighbourhood on Wednesday afternoon, Ottawa Fire Services said.
A news release said a 9-1-1 caller reported grey smoke coming from the roof of the single-family home in the 5000 block of Fernbank just before 1:30 p.m.
Because there are no hydrants in that area of Ottawa, firefighters shuttled water to the scene from an off-site source.
